Trails South and West: The Monongahela Valley and Upper West Virginia

Many WV trails are designed with a "pea gravel" surface. This is a bit coarser – and often a bit looser – than the packed crushed limestone used for many PA trails. It ‘s a little rough for skinny-tired road bikes, but hybrids and mountain bikes will do fine.
